Sports Ambassador

A passion of mine is to help people, and one of the ways I have been able to do that is as an ambassador. I am an ambassador for two entities; the Sutton Coldfield Community Games and England Athletics. Both of these organisations are dedicated to implementing and improving sport in this country, and I love what they do for the developing youths.

As of 2017, Jonathan became an ambassador for Inspire +, which is an independent sports charity located in Lincolnshire. It was established by Vincent Brittain, CEO in September 2011.

Following acting as a sporting ambassador for the Grantham Mini Olympics, Jonathan was approached to partake in more regular school visits to inspire and encourage the younger generation. Inspire + has a number of ambassadors who are regularly visiting schools and setting the children challenges and competitions to help inspire them into achieving healthy active lifestyles and being the best they can be!

Perhaps the easiest way to describe the Sutton Coldfield Community Games is as a village fete combined with a schools sports day. Run by volunteers and with all the activities provided free of charge by local sports clubs, groups and associations, the Sutton Games is a true community event with a simple aim: to give everyone, whether young or old, an opportunity to try their hand at the enormous variety of sports played, as well as activities enjoyed in and around Sutton Coldfield. As an ambassador, I do my part by running a high jump class on one of the days and I am passionate about helping Dennis Kennedy (Founder) expand the games.

Since 2015, I have been an ambassador for England Athletics, the governing body for Athletics in England. Their goals is to work to support athletics clubs, running clubs, coaches and officials to ensure the national competitions keep running smoothly. As an ambassador, I make appearances to local clubs and businesses, with the purpose of inspiring the youth of athletics and community alike.
